Head Of Trade Marketing – Global Personal Care Brand

Hong Kong

Our client, a global personal care brand is inviting a Head Of Category Management / Trade Marketing to take lead in the trade marketing team for the Hong Kong market.

You will take lead in In-Store Marketing, Category Management and Trade Marketing strategy of thePersonal Health Care Brands.  The sales channels of these brands are key chains, drug stores chains and general trade.

You will develop strategy and plans with customers/key accounts for all Health Care category/brand portfolio. The role will also focus on building expert knowledge in

key categories and sharing this with the customer in order to build long term partnerships and increase profit and sales.

You will lead the development and implementation of category management strategies. This will focus on increasing brands in store presence in categories, strengthening brands, optimizing product assortment, and promotional strategy.

Team Management of around 20.

Responsibilities:

  • To be the Head to drive in-store marketing, trade marketing and category management.
  • Defines Category trade marketing KPIs across all categories
  • Leads the country Trade Marketing team
  • Defines and manages the trade marketing budget
  • Contributes to category marketing plans, with customer & category analysis and promotional strategy
  • Continuous analysis of the competitive and customer’s position in the country, works together with the sales director to develop long-term trade marketing actions and strategy aimed at strengthening brand’s position in the each of the categories
  • Leads and supports trade marketing team in developing and implementing high quality the best and promotional strategy (in line with brand priorities and media plans) across customers
  • Key contact for the Marketing Director and Brand Marketing team with regards to all promotional and customer activity
  • Translating brand marketing actions into winning customer marketing actions

Requirements:

  • At least 12 years experience in sales/trade marketing/marketing roles within a FMCG environment,
  • Preference is given to health care / personal care / skin care / beauty brands experience.
  • Desired skills:  analytical skills, category management, space management, trade marketing strategy development, experience working with key chains.
  • Bachelors degree level ideally in a business related subject - from a recognized University
  • Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Annual Salary: 900K – 1.1 M

A Global Personal Care Brand company, is seeking a Marketing Manager to be the Head Of Marketing and to the lead of the marketing Team

You will drive and partner with the sales team, category team, logistics, finance, etc to develop marketing strategy and action plan in order to establish the brand as a number personal care brand and establish a strong customer base.

 

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Managing Director of Greater China, you will enjoy the high degree of autonomy. 
  • To make decision on product pricing, promotion, branding strategy, product positioning, packaging and portfolio placement of the brand and communication executions to the professional/consumer.
  • To be responsible for the brand performance.
  • To provide insight on sales analysis, trial productivity and placement of expenses.
  • To provide forecast in sales.
  • To explore new and interesting marketing opportunities to develop the brand.
  • To identify Key Opinion Leader and to establish professional relationship and endorsement
  • To understand marketing environment, trend and present to management.
  • To establish professional relationship with medical / pharmaceutical community
  • Event Management

Requirements:

  • Degree Holder in any discipline. 
  • At least 7 years of marketing experience from any multinational firms, industries are Pharmaceutical, Medical Equipments, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Personal Care, etc.
  • Strong experience in ATL, BTL, digital marketing, etc.
  • Team management experience.
  • Fluency in Cantonese and English.
